Yeah, that's true. Most art is ignored especially by people of this era,but it's nice to see some people who still love these arts.

the ocean winds lash our sails.
rain beats down on our faces.
yesterday we had to much to drink just to much ales.
all those years we have been holding cards and yet no one has the aces.

looking back to the land i once called home, there is no going back.
we are fleeing a nation
our problems we burn with the bridges at home
the tables turn and the dawn of a new age is about to begin.

despite the pain through many years we can find heaven on earth together if we hold hands.
love is an eternal thing
stronger than a thousand suns
and warmer than the core of the earth

i may not be much of a man
nevertheless i am one.
craving for a soul,a woman and now after years of darkness light passed through the clouds and brought a spark of hope.

no one will accept us for what we are alone, together we have to live in exhile.

cast out by society
a world we don't need as long as we can hold our hands

never thought that we could make it
against these ever raging seas.
i just hoped for our lives and prayed that we survived.

the storm has calmed down
the rain had stopped
the beating in our heads remains but today we don't mind

the sails were ripped and torn
and the fine thread that held our lives it remains undamaged.

maybe a miracle saved us
or a power we can't understand.

i shake my head and glance back
it was all a dream
i was lost in the oceans of your eyes
and the storm that was raging outside at the window
the pounding is still there now i only find out it was not my head that did the pounding

when a bright sun shined through the barren wilderness i was there.
when the veil darker than the blackest night imagineable cloaked your life i lit the way to a safer place.
always have i been a guiding light and a column to lean on yet all use but only one gas stood there with me through time, through freezing snow and bone chilling tears, from the last smile ever to be cast out by me to the rest of a world that can only consume she was there to give she and i we only give to all those we love and care for yet none seem to return the favor, nay the gives all but joy.
happiness is a thing impossible to stay at our side the things that stay are the scars that are left behind. knives grow dull and a cut is harder to make but a heart you glue back into one again can only break even harder. the pain has grown to much but someone needs to know these words for i am tired of speaking, i don't ever want to know anything of this world anymore nothing is here to bind me to a place and life that only causes me harm the girl, a hero or just a fallen angel? she has to know that she deserves a life worthy of living for me it is too late

My bucket usually looks a little full-
but today it was spilled by a bull.
My life was going right until that very night,
when a mysterious thing cme and scared them-a light to be precise.
And it scared them away,so they never came back-even to make me some rice.
Now my life I've been waiting and staring at my bucket,
hoping it's water comes back where the pail lies-the thicket. - by me.

Nice one lil :) Here's one about life:

To see a world in a grain of sand
and a heaven in a wild flower,
hold infinity in the palm of your hand
and eternity in an hour.
-William Blake

Nice poems :), I really dont think poems are even worth it even though they were created to express emotions inside. I think they're useless.

I love reading poetry. That is a very nice poem...Truly one about the heart. ^_^ I remember when I took Creative Writing class my freshmen year and had to do poetry. If only I could find that notebook...So many good poems! D:
