I dislike it, take a look at EmmJay's sprites and current sprites. I like the idea of the simple sprite being recoloured purple but yours just seems weird. Not sure what's up with it to be honest. Looks a little soft too. The sharper the sprite the better, but don't over-do it.

This does look pretty good even without a glow effect. 8/10 for not having a glow.
