The effects are a little plain in the first one and the at the bottom where it cuts off is a little awkward. In the second pic you posted I like the variety of effects you did add there are some off areas like the two bands on the arm, the line down the face, and a bright cyan mark in the swirl background thing, but overall nice work on both 6/10 on the first and 9/10 on the second. P.S. I'm just being nit picky

They both look nice. The first looks like a panel from a comic and the second is a bit more realistic. 8/10 for both.

I love the second one! :D The first one is a bit plain, but the second one really has an air of mystery about it! The colors you picked and blended for the second one go great together. 8/10 for both. ^_^
