Actually at my experience i felt that..
We take lot of time to get first shiny. And the next ones wont be getting rare... For ex... My first shiny took like 107 swaps but i got the 3,4&5 th shiny in a matter of 50-60

Not really sure but shinies are easy to get. Not only from lucky dip, random swap, or maps but you can obtain them from sabrina shiny search too. With only some points and 20 pokes that she requested. Also, map shinies don't really worth much. There are a lot of them in the game already.

I don't think shinies will bring the game back since shinies aren't worth anything.
