They came at the same time ;p the 1 in the egg was a guy and the chicken with the egg a girl. after egg hatched and grew up they made more eggs :3

Based on a Christian standpoint, the chicken came first but some people, who believe in evolution, may believe that the egg came first. My personal belief is that the chicken came first

The ancestor of a chicken or all animals of today for that matter were mammals, when the age of the dinosaurs has ended only small mammals were on the planet that still lived and mammals don't lay eggs and evolution took its hold on it and over time the ancestor of the chicken eventually laid eggs so I will say that the 'chicken' come first.

Maybe the egg came from no where and hatched into 2 chickens and they started a whole population of chickens!

To me it only makes sense that the chicken was created so that it can lay eggs which would hatch into other chickens. I just don't see the egg being first for some reason because it makes more sense having the animal to give birth then having the egg hatch.
